Celebrating and embracing nurses began with Florence Nightingale in the 1800’s. Through her “handwashing and hygiene practices,” she was able to reduce fatalities in the Crimean War from 42% to 2%. President Nixon made a point to create a week annually where nurses are celebrated starting May 6th and concluding on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. She paved the way for nurse recognition as nurses “make up the highest percentage of the US healthcare workforce.” There are several ways these professionals can be uplifted as they are seen as the “backbone of medical care.” Thanking them and showing appreciation goes a long way especially in the difficult times we are currently in.

Being dedicated to helping and nurturing is one of the many ways nurses contribute to society. They brave every workday regardless of the length with great attitudes and hopes for a better tomorrow. Now, more than ever, uplifting and appreciating those that take care of us through our journey as patients are critical. They acknowledge the needs of the public health system and treat every obstacle with dignity. The celebration of nurses should be continuous. We thank them for saving the lives of millions not only in the United States but Internationally.

The COVID-19 Pandemic highlighted the countless ways that healthcare workers, nurses in particular, are invaluable and “essential” to our society. During the unprecedented and daunting uncertainty of the recent healthcare crisis, nurses have been the glue that held the health care community together. We recognize and thank them for their dedication and sacrifice.

We at C. Kelly Law, LLC., also appreciate the care and treatment nurses provide to our clients that are injured in auto accidents. To recognize their sacrifices all-year-round, C. Kelly Law, LLC., offers discounts to nurses on personal injury contingency fees. Our Georgia personal injury attorneys can rest assured that our clients are in caring and competent hands with nurses, and this make our jobs much easier. This year, we celebrate National Nurses Day and Week 2021 with several giveaways that will be featured on our Instagram account.
